CISK辩论队为昆山加拿大国际学校再获联赛冠军！

　　On 27 and 28 March the CISK debate team took part in the NHSDLC Suzhou Regional Tournament and won First Place School.

　　The contest was held in Xinghai Expiramental School in Suzhou Industrial Park and was attended by over 70 teams from all over China, with teams traveling from as far as Guangdong and Beijing.

　　3月27日至3月28日，CISK辩论队参加了由NHSDLC举办的2021年春季地区赛，在苏州区的赛事中获得了学校排名第一的荣誉。

　　*NHSDLC即美式辩论联赛，目前是国内最具规模的外语辩论联赛之一。

　　此次辩论赛在苏州工业区星海实验中学举行，来自全国70多支队伍参加了这场比赛，参赛的学校远至广东及北京。

　　CISK students exceeded expectations with all of our teams finishing in top positions qualifying for the National Championships.

　　CISK had the youngest students in the contests with Cherry, Owen and Sarah in grade 6 in the Middle School division and Joshua from grade 9 in the Open Division.

　　昆山加拿大国际学校学生的表现是超出预期的，CISK所有参赛队伍都获得了有资格进入全国联赛的最好名次。

　　CISK辩论队拥有这场比赛中年龄最小的选手，他们是中学部六年级的Cherry、Owen和Sarah。九年级的Joshua也是公开组中年龄最小的学生。

　　In addition to winning many awards for both the school and themselves, the students have learnt and improved many skills including communication, public speaking, research, critical thinking, and investigation skills.

　　Debate contests are a great way for our students to demonstrate IB Learner Profiles as students becoming better thinkers, communicators and risk takers.   

　　在为CISK与自身赢得奖项外，我们的学生还磨炼并提升了许多技能，包括沟通、公开演讲、研究、批判性思维以及调查技能。

　　辩论赛是我们的学生展示IB学习者品质的一种好方式，学生将因此成为更好的思想者、沟通者与冒险者。

　　The CISK community would like to thank Sunny Mewati from the National High School Debate League of China for taking time to visit the school and train the students, and to Mr. Christopher Ball our Individuals and Societies teacher and debate team coach for all their hard work preparing the students.
